MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (February 3, 2007) --- The Milligan College men’s
basketball team defeated the visiting Bryan College Lions by a score of
69-61 on Saturday night in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) action.
The Buffs took the lead for good with just over six minutes remaining in
the first half on a Danny McKeehan (Morrow, Ohio) field goal.
Milligan took a 33-24 lead into halftime.
McKeehan led all scorers with 19 points. Jeff Barnes (Franklin,
Tenn.) also had a strong performance for Milligan with 14 points and
nine rebounds, while Adrian Harrison (Greensboro, N.C.)
contributed 12 points, six rebounds and five blocks in the game.
The Buffs shot 67 percent (4-of-6) from beyond the three point line in
the game, including a 3-for-3 showing in the second half.
The win improves Milligan to 17-8 overall and 9-5 in the AAC.
The Buffs will travel to Boyce College, in Louisville, Ky., on Monday,
Feb. 5, at 7 p.m.
