MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN
(May 23, 2007) --- After an opening round of 331, the
Milligan College golf team finished the second round at
the NAIA Men’s Golf National Championship with a team
total of 338. The Buffs and the rest of the field are
competing at the Indiana National Golf Club, a par-72,
6,950 yard layout in Plymouth.
Senior Ryan Morris
(Frankfort, Ind.) went out in 39 and came back in with a
39 for a six-over-par 78 to lead Milligan’s second day
scoring. Grayson Patton (Fries, Va.) added an 84
while Terrance Evans (Galax, Va.) and Matt
Ongie posted similar rounds of 88 for Milligan’s
338.
Oklahoma City
extended their lead in the team standings over Northwood
(Texas). Oklahoma City is at five-under-par 571 after
their 290 on Wednesday while Northwood posted a 295 and
is at seven-over-par 583 after 36 holes. Wayland Baptist
(Texas) is two shots behind Northwood while Johnson and
Wales (Fla.) and Berry (Ga.) rounds out the top five.
Johnson & Wales’
David Tobon fired a 66 to take the individual lead. He
holds the 36-hole lead with a five-under-par 139 halfway
through the championship. He is one shot ahead of the
Oklahoma City duo of Jacques Blaauw and Daniel Mitchell.
Third-round action is
scheduled to begin Thursday morning at the Indiana
National Golf Club.
