Buffs finish play at BMW Collegiate
MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN
(April 10, 2007) --- The
Milligan College golf
team finished 15th
at the 12th
annual BMW Collegiate
Golf Invitational.
Milligan finished the
tournament with a
two-day total of 657.
The 36-hole event was
played at the par-72,
6,847 yard Verdae Greens
Golf Club in Greenville,
S.C.
On the opening day, the
Buffs fired a 332.
However on the final day
of play, the team posted
a 325.
Grayson Patton
(Fries, Va.) led the
Buffs’ squad with a
two-day total of 155 and
he was followed by
Matt Ongie (Johnson
City, Tenn.) with his
158. Michael Woods
(Knoxville, Tenn.) and
Ryan Morris
(Frankfort, Ind.)
rounded out the Milligan
scores with 170 and 174
respectively.
NCAA Division II member
Presbyterian (S.C.)
College won the team
title with a two-round
total of 593. Barton
finished nine shots
behind Presbyterian.
Clayton State, St.
Andrews and Anderson
rounded out the top
five.
Stephen Harrison, from
Barton, won the
individual crown. He
shot a one-over-par 73
Tuesday to go with his
one-under-par 71 in the
first day to finish with
a score of 144.
Milligan will return to
action Monday at the
Appalachian Athletic
Conference & NAIA Region
XII Championship. The
54-hole event will be
played at the par-72
Elizabethton Golf Club
in Elizabethton, Tenn.
