The Milligan
College baseball
team suffered
two losses
Monday afternoon
against No. 7
Tennessee
Wesleyan College
in Appalachian
Athletic
Conference (AAC)
action. The
Buffs lost the
first game 7-3
then dropped the
second contest
5-1 to the
Bulldogs. With
the results,
Milligan falls
to 10-4 in the
AAC and 21-19
overall while
Tennessee
Wesleyan remains
undefeated in
conference play
with their 14-0
record.
Game 1 Milligan

Milligan's
Brett Seybert
(Columbiania,
Ohio) pitched
six innings in
his start and
allowed five
runs, one earned
run, on seven
hits to the
Bulldogs.
Seybert (5-3)
struck two
batters out and
walked four.
Baker DeCamp
(Miami, Fla.)
went 3-for-4
with a double,
run scored and a
walk for the
Buffs while
teammate
Justin Sauceman
(Alcoa, Tenn.)
drove in a run
with a sacrifice
fly to go along
with a 1-for-2
game at the
plate and two
walks.

Milligan jumped
in front when
Alex Della Mora
(Pickering,
Ontario, Canada)
came home to
score on an
infield single
from
Spencer Street
(Jonesborough,
Tenn.) in the
fifth inning.
Tennessee
Wesleyan
answered with
five unearned
runs in the
bottom of the
sixth inning to
take the lead.
All five runs
were scored with
Nathan Fritz
(Kingsport,
Tenn.) on the
mound. Fritz
(6-3) pitched
all six innings
and the five
unearned runs
were charged to
him. He allowed
six hits, struck
out five and
walked two in
the contest.
Street finished
2-for-3 at the
plate, including
his RBI, to
provide the
offense for
Milligan in the
second game.
The Buffs will
return to action
Tuesday evening
when NCAA
Division II foe
Carson-Newman
(Tenn.) College
visits Anglin
Field for a 6
p.m. contest.
