MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (February 26, 2007) --- The Milligan College baseball team split a doubleheader with Seton Hill (Penn.) University on Monday, losing game one by a score of 6-1 and bouncing back to take game two, 10-3.

Game One
Seton Hill took an early lead, getting a run in the top of the first, then pushed the lead to five with a four-run third inning. The Buffs were unable to overcome the deficit.

Justin Sauceman (Alcoa, Tenn.) drove in the lone run for the Buffs, scoring Garrett Reed (Gray, Tenn.) late in the contest.

Adam Chapman (Jefferson City, Tenn.) took the loss on the mound for Milligan.

Game Two
Milligan battled back behind a solid pitching performance from senior Stephen Jarrett (Gray, Tenn.) who went the distance, allowing just three runs in the game.

A six-run fifth inning, in which the Buffs batted around broke the game open. Hits from Jeremy Dulgar (St. Cloud, Fla.), Ricky Morgan (Johnson City, Tenn.), Danny Bacon (St. Petersburg, Fla.), Baker DeCamp (Miami, Fla.), Clint Dorman (Savannah, Ga.), Todd Sangid (Johnson City, Tenn.), Reed and Sauceman along with a sacrifice fly from Cody Cannon (Elizabethton, Tenn.) contributed to the big inning.

The split moves the Buffs’ record to 4-6 on the season.

Milligan will travel to Mount Berry, Ga., Tuesday, Feb. 27, to challenge Berry College in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
