PIKEVILLE, KY (February 24, 2007) --- The Milligan
College baseball team won 7-1 behind a strong pitching
performance from
Brett Seybert (Columbiana, Ohio) Saturday
afternoon at Pikeville (Ky.) College. The senior
right-handed pitcher threw a complete game and allowed
one unearned run while he scattered three hits with five
strikeouts. The win in the contest improves the Buffs’
record to 3-5 on the season.
At
the plate for Milligan,
Clint Dorman
(Savannah, Ga.) went a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles
with three RBIs and a run scored.
Justin Sauceman
(Alcoa, Tenn.) added a 3-for-4 performance with two
doubles, two RBIs and two runs of his own. The Buffs’
outfields also contributed offensively.
Garrett Reed
(Gray, Tenn.) went 2-for-3 with while
Danny Bacon
(St. Petersburg, Fla.) added a double along with a run
scored and Baker
DeCamp (Miami, Fla.) scored two runs.
The
second game of the scheduled doubleheader was called by
the umpires due to unsafe playing conditions after an
incident took place.
Milligan will host Seton Hill (Pa.) University Monday
afternoon for a 3 p.m. doubleheader at Anglin Field.
