MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (March 27, 2007) --- Junior Nathan Fritz (Kingsport, Tenn.) has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) and NAIA Region XII pitcher of the week following an impressive win Saturday afternoon in an AAC contest. Fritz threw a shut out against Covenant (Ga.) College as the Buffs won 5-0.

Fritz did not allow a hit until the seventh inning of the game, and he had a perfect game until he hit a batter in the sixth inning. He allowed the lone hit over the seven innings and he only needed to throw 52 pitches to earn up his third win on the year. He also struck out four batters and faced a total of 22 batters in the contest.  

The Buffs (13-16) will host Maryville (Tenn.) College (19-7) for a Wednesday afternoon doubleheader. The first pitch is scheduled to be thrown at 4 p.m. at Anglin Field.
