2007) --- The Milligan
College baseball team
swept an Appalachian
Athletic Conference (AAC)
doubleheader with
Bluefield (Va.) College
on Friday night in
Princeton, W.V., by
scores of 7-2 and 4-2.
With the victories, the
Buffs improve their
record to 17-16 overall
and 8-2 in the AAC.
Game One: Milligan 7
Bluefield 2
Brandon Murphy
(Johnson City, Tenn.)
led the charge for the
Buffaloes, going 4-for-5
including a homerun with
two runs scored and an
RBI, while freshman
Ricky Morgan
(Johnson City, Tenn.)
was 3-for-4 with a run
scored and hit a
three-run homer.
Baker DeCamp (Miami,
Fla.) was 3-for-5 with
two runs scored and an
RBI.
On the mound for the
Buffs, senior Brett
Seybert (Columbiana,
Ohio) took the win,
tossing seven innings,
allowing one earned run
on seven hits and nine
strikeouts. Freshman
Derek Koone
(Winston-Salem, N.C.)
came on in relief and
threw two scoreless
innings to complete the
win.

XII pitcher of the week
Nathan Fritz
(Kingsport, Tenn.) threw
another complete game
gem, scattering five
hits, allowing no earned
runs and striking out
ten in the victory.
At the plate for the
Buffs, Ben Huff
(Bristol, Tenn.) was
2-for-4 with a run
scored and two RBI,
Cody Cannon
(Elizabethton, Tenn.)
was 2-for-3 with an RBI,
Decamp collected two
more hits and Murphy
scored twice more.
The Buffs will welcome
Berry (Ga.) College to
Anglin Field on Tuesday,
April 3, for a
doubleheader beginning
at 4 p.m.
