team
suffered
a 4-2
loss
Wednesday
afternoon
at
Brewton-Parker
(Ga.)
College.
With the
results
Milligan is
now 6-12
while
Brewton-Parker
moves to
11-7.
Milligan
took an
early
1-0 lead
when
Spencer
Street
(Jonesborough,
Tenn.)
drove in
Alex
Della
Mora
(Pickering,
Ontario,
Canada)
with a
double
in the
second
inning.
Brewton-Parker
tied the
game in
the home
half of
the
fourth
inning.
The
Buffs
responded
with a
run in
the top
of the
fifth
inning
to
retake
the lead
when
Danny
Bacon
(St.
Petersburg,
Fla.)
came
around
to score
on a RBI
single
from
Garrett
Reed
(Gray,
Tenn.)
Brewton-Parker
tied the
game 2-2
in the
bottom
of the
fifth
inning
and two
solo
home
runs
from
Josh
Sasser
and Kyle
Smith in
the
sixth
inning
put the
Barons
up 4-2.
On the
mound,
Milligan’s
Toby
Hoyle
(Johnson
City,
Tenn.)
went six
strong
inning
but he
suffered
his
second
lose of
the
year. He
allowed
four
runs,
three
earned
runs, on
seven
hits
with two
strikeouts.
Justin
Sauceman
(Alcoa,
Tenn.)
accounted
for two
hits,
including
a
double,
on the
day for
Milligan.
To go
along
with his
RBI
double,
Street
also
stole a
base.
Della
Mora and
Bacon
also
added a
double
each for
the
Buffs’
offensive
cause.
Milligan
will
continue
their
Georgia
road
trip
Thursday
afternoon
at
Savannah
College
of Art
and
Design.
