4, 2006)--- The Milligan College Men’s basketball team lost a
close one Saturday evening at Kentucky Christian University
94-93. With the loss the Buffaloes fall to 9-15 overall.
Milligan was
led by junior Zach Dezarn (Franklin, Ohio) with 25 points on
8-of-16 shooting including 5-of-7 from 3-point range. Two
buffaloes recorded double-doubles in the loss, junior Adrian
Harrison (Greensboro, N.C.) had 14 points and 12 rebounds and
freshman Jeff Barnes (Franklin, Tenn.) had 22 points and 10
rebounds. Freshman Tino Washington (Lexington, Ky.) added 11
points.
Milligan
shot 36-of-75 (48 percent) from the field compared to 34-of-76
(44.7 percent) by Kentucky Christian. Kentucky Christian was hot
from behind the three point line making 14 of their 36 attempts
(38.9 percent) while the Buffaloes made good on 7 of their 20
attempts (35 percent). Milligan out rebounded Kentucky Christian
53-31 but committed 24 turnovers in the loss.
Kentucky
Christian was led by Akeem Scott who scored 21 points on 8-of-12
shooting including 5-of-5 from behind the three point line.
Milligan
will be back in AAC action Tuesday evening, Feb. 7 against
Brevard (N.C.) College. Tip off is set for 7:30 p.m.
