BRISTOL, VA (September 27, 2006)---The Milligan College women’s soccer team fell in an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) contest against Virginia Intermont College by a score of 2-1 in overtime.

Intermont controlled the ball for much of the game as they out shot the Lady Buffs 17-2. Rosanna Couture (Oakville, Ontario, Canada) had a busy night in goal, recording six saves in the loss.

Milligan’s lone goal came from Dagmar Arnardotti (Kopvagur, Iceland) in the 67^th minute on an assist from Megan Elrod (Louisville, Ky.)

The loss drops the Lady Buffs to 5-5 overall and 2-3 in the AAC. Virginia Intermont moves to 8-3 overall and 5-0 in the AAC.

Milligan will return to action Saturday, Sept. 30, in Mobile, Ala., against the University of Mobile at 6 p.m.
