MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (September 20, 2006)---The Milligan College women’s soccer team defeated visiting Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) rival Wednesday night at home by a score of 7-0.

Senior Megan Elrod (Louisville, Ky.) got the scoring started in the ninth minute on an assist from Dagmar Arnardottir (Kopvagur, Iceland).

Arnardottir went on to score three goals and added another assist in the contest.

Freshman Hanna Lovbrand (Orebro, Sweden) also notched an assist and two goals, including a header in the game’s 25^th minute.

Katie Kiebler (Lexington, Ky.) also scored a goal for the Lady Buffs.

Rosanna Couture (Oakville, Ontario, Canada) picked up her fourth shutout of the season in goal.

The win improves the Lady Buffs to an even 4-4 overall, and 2-2 in the AAC.

Milligan will return to action Monday, Sept. 25, in Brevard N.C. for a non-conference bout with Brevard College at 4 p.m.
