Milligan head coach Dave Dixon was excited about
the conference opener. “I was excited to see the way we
were scoring goals,” he said. “I saw a lot of the things
we’ve been working on being executed. We were able to
hold on to the ball pretty well.”
The
win improves Milligan to 1-1 overall on the year and 1-0
in AAC play. Bryan drops to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in the
conference.
While
the good start has Dixon happy for now, he knows that
the remaining conference games will prove a formidable
task. “We’ve got a lot of work left to do,” he added.
The
Lady Buffs will return to action on Friday, Sept. 1, in
Louisville, Ky., against Spalding University. The match
is scheduled for a 3 p.m. start.
