BEREA, KY (November 11, 2006)---The Milligan College women’s basketball team lost in a high-scoring affair on Saturday evening to Berea College by a score of 105-89 in Berea, Ky.

The Lady Buffs had a 54-52 lead at halftime, but a second half scoring drought would be their undoing.

Rikki Baughman (Elizabethton, Tenn.) paced a group of five Lady Buffs in double digit scoring, with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Candace Shelton (Flag Pond, Tenn.) and Kara Monk (Harriman, Tenn.) also had 15 apiece, while Kacie Letterman (Gray, Tenn.) had 13 and Leah Anderson (Lexington, Ky.) had 10.

The loss drops the Lady Buffs to 0-2 on the young season, while Berea improves to 5-0.

Milligan will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 18, in Charlotte, N.C., against Pfeiffer College at 2 p.m.
