Milligan's Grgat advances to quarterfinal round of ITA Regional

JACKSON, TN (September 22, 2006)---Milligan freshman Melissa Grgat (Melbourne, Australia) won in straight sets today over Cumberland University’s Paula Guzman to advance to the women’s quarterfinal round to be played tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. central time.

Also competing for Milligan today, Charles Williams (Perth, Australia) was defeated in third round action 6-7, 7-5, 7-5, (7-5, and Ryan Reynolds (Johnson City, Tenn.) also fell in the third round to Lindsey Wilson College’s Leandro Gubler.

In doubles action, the men’s pair of Johnathon Ryan (Wangaratta, Australia) and Williams was defeated in the quarterfinal round, while the women’s pairings of Krissi Denton (Bristol, Tenn.) and Grgat, and Amber Cambpell (Erwin, Tenn.) and Sara Hopson (Greeneville, Tenn.) were both defeated in the third round late last night.
