2006) --- Senior
David Lilly (Coatbridge,
Scotland) scored two goals to help
the Buffaloes of Milligan College to
a 4-1 Appalachian Athletic
Conference (AAC) victory at
Tennessee Wesleyan College on
Wednesday.
Lilly scored his first goal in the
34th minute with a double
assist from
Said
Abdi (Kismaayo, Somalia)
and
Jason Watts (High Point,
N.C.) For his second goal, Lilly had
to wait until the 88th
minute to put the final goal of the
match on the scoreboard. The assist
was from fellow senior,
Stuart Makinson
(Franklin, N.C.)
Abdi put the Buffs in front 1-0 in
the 30th minute with a
goal. The goal’s double assist came
from Watts and
Philip Wilson (Middlesbrough,
England). Milligan scored shortly
after the halftime break, in the 49th
minute, when
Josh
Stevens (Jacksonville
Beach, Fla.) scored off a corner
kick with an assist from
Kyle
Wilcox (Indianapolis,
Ind.)
The only goal from Tennessee
Wesleyan was scored in the 75th
minute.
Senior goalkeeper
Jordan Fode (Surrey,
British Columbia, Canada) recorded
one save against Tennessee Wesleyan.
Milligan (6-5, 4-1 AAC) will return
to action Saturday afternoon at
Houghton College, in Houghton, N.Y.
