WILLIAMSBURG, KY (September
2, 2006)---The Milligan College men’s soccer team suffered its
first defeat of the season on Saturday to the University of the
Cumberlands by a score of 2-0.
The game’s
first goal was scored in the 60th minute, and the
second was added in the final minute of the match.
Milligan was
out shot by a count of 13-4 and had only five corner kicks to
the Cumberlands’ eight.
Jordan Fode
(Surrey, British Columbia, Canada) had five saves in goal for
the Buffs.
The loss
drops Milligan to 2-1 on the year, while the Cumberlands
improves to 1-1.
The Buffs
will begin Appalachian Athletic Conference play in their next
match, Wednesday, Sept. 6, in Bristol against rival King College
at 5 p.m.
