HOUGHTON, NY (October 7, 2006) --- In homecoming activities Saturday afternoon at Houghton (N.Y.) College, Milligan head coach Dave Dixon and assistant coach Todd Miner returned to their alma mater and led the Milligan College men’s soccer team to a 1-0 victory at Burke Field.

With the win, Milligan improves to 7-5 while Houghton falls to 2-7-2 on the season.

The lone goal of the match was scored in the 18^th minute, when senior David Lilly (Coatbridge, Scotland) scored an unassisted goal to put the Buffs in front 1-0.

Jordan Fode (Surrey, British Columbia, Canada) recorded four saves for Milligan in goal.

Milligan will return to the action Monday, October 9 to play at Bluefield College in an Appalachian Athletic Conference match. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m., in Bluefield, Va.
