MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (October 13, 2006)---The Milligan College men’s soccer team was defeated in a close game by Bethel (Ind.) College by a score of 3-2 Friday night at Anglin Field.

Most of the scoring came in the first half, as Bethel jumped out to a 3-0 lead by the game’s 21^st minute.

Milligan would not surrender however and scored two goals of its own. Travis Young (Largo, Fla.) scored in the 28^th minute on an assist from Caleb Bollman (Avon, Ind.) and David Lilly (Coatbridge, Scotland) scored his team leading ninth goal of the season on a header with the assist coming from Justin Fuller (Plainfield, Ind.)

The loss drops the Buffs record to 8-6 overall. Milligan remains 4-1 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC). Bethel improves to 9-3-1 on the season.

The Buffs will welcome AAC rival Union College to Anglin Field tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 14 at 4:30 p.m
