MILLIGAN
COLLEGE, TN (October 13, 2006)---The Milligan College men’s
soccer team was defeated in a close game by Bethel (Ind.)
College by a score of 3-2 Friday night at Anglin Field.
Most of the scoring came in the first half, as Bethel jumped out
to a 3-0 lead by the game’s 21st minute.
Milligan would not surrender however and scored two goals of its
own. Travis Young (Largo, Fla.) scored in the 28th
minute on an assist from Caleb Bollman (Avon, Ind.) and
David Lilly (Coatbridge, Scotland) scored his team
leading ninth goal of the season on a header with the assist
coming from Justin Fuller (Plainfield, Ind.)
The loss drops the Buffs record to 8-6 overall. Milligan remains
4-1 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC). Bethel
improves to 9-3-1 on the season.
The Buffs will welcome AAC rival Union College to Anglin Field
tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 14 at 4:30 p.m
