MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (December 2, 2006)---The Milligan College men’s basketball team defeated Virginia Intermont College by a score of 86-62 on Saturday night in an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) match up at the Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.

Sophomore center Jeff Barnes (Franklin, Tenn.) led the charge for the Buffs with 22 points and seven rebounds.

Frankie Harris (Martinsville, Va.) also had a big night, with 11 points and eight rebounds.

Three others also registered double digits in scoring for Milligan, as Zach Dezarn (Franklin, Ohio), Joe Brown (Blountville, Tenn.) and Danny McKeehan (Morrow, Ohio) had 14, 13, and 10 points respectively.

The win improves Milligan to 5-3 overall and an even 1-1 in AAC play. Virginia Intermont falls to 1-8 overall and 0-2 in the conference.

Milligan will again take to the court on Tuesday, Dec. 5, in Bristol, Tenn., against conference foe King College at 7:30 p.m.
