MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (November 17, 2006)---The Milligan
College men’s basketball team won in the opening round
of the 2006 Milligan College Invitational over Johnson
Bible College by a score of 98-62 on Friday night in the
Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.
The Buffs jumped out to an early lead, and were in
charge at halftime by a score of 58-27.
Freshman Danny McKeehan (Morrow, Ohio) led all
scorers with 18 points on eight-of-10 shooting.
Adrian Harrison (Greensboro, N.C.) also had a strong
offensive night with 16 points, and Frankie Harris
(Martinsville, Va.) had 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Zach Dezarn (Franklin, Ohio) and Alex Ingram
(Hampton, Tenn.) rounded out the Buffs’ top scorers with
15 and 10 points respectively.
Johnson Bible College was led by Josh Haltom, Justin
Hayse and Aaron Early, who each contributed 13 points.
The win improves Milligan to 3-1 on the season.
The Buffs will move on to play in the championship round
tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 18, at 4 p.m. at the Steve Lacy
Fieldhouse against Kentucky Christian University, who
defeated Boyce College in the first round by a score of
98-65.
Johnson Bible College and Boyce College will meet in the
consolation game at 2 p.m. tomorrow.
