MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (October 21, 2004)--- The Milligan College Lady Buffs volleyball team was defeated in an Appalachian Athletic Conference match up against UVA-Wise by a 1-3 (21-30, 30-27, 19-30, 26-30) tally Thursday evening at the Steve Lacy Fieldhouse. With the loss, the Lady Buffs move to 8-18 overall and 5-10 in the AAC.

Leading the charge for Milligan was freshman Jamie Sly (Franklin, Tenn.) with 55 assist as she also served one ace. Also serving one ace was sophomore Tara Earhart (Bristol, Tenn.) and Earhart was also credited with 23 digs and 12 kills. Freshman Emily Rigney (Danville, Ky.) led the team in digs with 24 in the contest while fellow freshman Ashley Lokken (Kingston, Tenn.) led the team with 15 kills, and freshman Amanda Hyder (Johnson City, Tenn.) was second for Milligan with 14 kills.

Next for the Lady Buffs is an AAC road trip to face Virginia Intermont Tuesday October 26 at 6:30 p.m.
