Buffaloes bounce back with 93-78 win at VI

BRISTOL, VA (January 29, 2005) --- The Milligan College Buffaloes (12-11, 9-7 AAC) won at Virginia Intermont College by a score of 93-78 in Appalachian Athletic Conference action Saturday evening in Bristol.

Milligan was led by senior forward Craig Emmert (Cass City, Mich.) with a game high of 30 points as he went 13-15 from the field. Senior Todd Davis (Corbin, Ky.) and freshman Joe Brown (Blountville, Tenn.) added 15 points and 14 points respectively for the Buffs. The Buffs’ point guard, Yony Kifle (Grundy, Va.) also had an outstanding night as he dished out 13 assist with no turnovers in the contest. Milligan was credited with 24 assist on their 34 field goals on the night. 

Luka Hocevar led VI with 23 points in the loss.

Next for Milligan is another AAC road trip as the Buffs will play Bluefield (Va.) College Tuesday February 1 at 7:30 p.m. Bluefield won the first meeting by a 72-69 score on December 7 at the Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.
