Buffs handle OSU-Marion 90-47

MARION, OH (November 13, 2004)--- The Milligan College Buffaloes basketball team won at Ohio State-Marion Saturday afternoon by a 90-47 score to finish their two day Ohio road trip. With the win, the Buffs improve to 3-0 on the season while OSU-Marion falls to 0-4.

The Buffs held a slim 37-34 lead over OSU-Marion, but a 46-6 run by Milligan put the game out of reach for OSU-Marion, as they were only able to score 13 points in the second half.

Milligan was led by senior forward Craig Emmert (Cass City, Mich.) with 23 points, freshman guard Anthony Wilhelm (Petoskey, Mich.) contributed 18 points, sophomore guard Adam Hughes (Bluff City, Tenn.) scored 16 points and freshman forward Harvey Bell (Spartanburg, S.C.) added 12 points in the Buffs’ victory.

“We played well defensively in the second half,” said Milligan assistant coach Tae Norwood, “we made the right second half adjustments and our bench stepped up with 36 points tonight.”

Next for Milligan is their first Appalachian Athletic Conference game of the season as the Buffs travel to Alice Lloyd College in Pippa Passes, Ky. on Tuesday November 16 for a 7:30 p.m. tip off.
