MARION, OH
(November 13, 2004)--- The Milligan College Buffaloes basketball
team won at Ohio State-Marion Saturday afternoon by a 90-47
score to finish their two day Ohio road trip. With the win, the
Buffs improve to 3-0 on the season while OSU-Marion falls to
0-4.
The Buffs
held a slim 37-34 lead over OSU-Marion, but a 46-6 run by
Milligan put the game out of reach for OSU-Marion, as they were
only able to score 13 points in the second half.
Milligan
was led by senior forward Craig Emmert (Cass City, Mich.)
with 23 points, freshman guard Anthony Wilhelm (Petoskey,
Mich.) contributed 18 points, sophomore guard Adam Hughes
(Bluff City, Tenn.) scored 16 points and freshman forward
Harvey Bell (Spartanburg, S.C.) added 12 points in the
Buffs’ victory.
“We played
well defensively in the second half,” said Milligan assistant
coach Tae Norwood, “we made the right second half
adjustments and our bench stepped up with 36 points tonight.”
Next for
Milligan is their first Appalachian Athletic Conference game of
the season as the Buffs travel to Alice Lloyd College in Pippa
Passes, Ky. on Tuesday November 16 for a 7:30 p.m. tip off.
