Milligan loses late to Covenant

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, GA (February 19, 2005) --- The Milligan College Buffaloes (16-14, 12-10 AAC) lost at Covenant (Ga.) College by the score of 75-74 in Appalachian Athletic Conference action Saturday evening in Lookout Mountain, Ga. Covenant took their one and only lead 75-74 with ten seconds to go in the contest.

The leading scorer for Milligan was senior forward Craig Emmert (Cass City, Mich.) with 22 points. Junior forward Nate Tincher (Jacksonville, Fla.) and freshman guard Yony Kifle (Grundy, Va.) each scored 14 points for the Buffs

Nate Beers led Covenant with 19 points while Josh Suddath added 17 points in the victory.

Next for the Buffs is the AAC Tournament to be held in Bristol, Tenn. at King College. The tournament will begin Wednesday February 23 and the bracket will be announced Sunday.
