MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (February 8, 2005)--- Freshman guard Joe Brown hit a lay up with five seconds left in the game to lead Milligan's men over conference rival Brevard College 69-67 at home.

Leading the way for Milligan in scoring was freshman point guard Yony Kifle with 17 points.  Kifle hit two key three-pointers late in the game to help secure the win.

Senior forward Todd Davis contributed 12 points and six rebounds, while Brown added 14 points.

Tito Diaz was Brevard's leading scorer with 15 points.

Brevard entered the game ranked 3rd in the AAC, a half-game behind Bluefield and Montreat, but fell to 17-11 overall and 13-6 in conference play with the loss.  The Buffs move to 15-12 overall and 11-8 in conference play.

Milligan closes out it's home campaign this Saturday when they take on Montreat College at 7:30 p.m. at Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.
