Summer Fine Arts Academy

Spend a week at one of America's premier Christian liberal arts colleges and develop your knowledge and skills in digital media, music, or theatre. You'll be taught by Milligan faculty and students. Residential students have the option of staying in Milligan residence halls or day students can come just for the daily sessions. The program includes hands-on workshops and lessons, evening activities, food, and fun outings to local sights. The week culminates in a Friday evening performance/show that is open to family and friends.

Age
The academy is designed for rising high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors (ages 14-18).
Schedule
Registration begins Sunday afternoon, June 16. Students will check out Friday night, June 21, following the closing program. Click here for a tentative schedule.
Earn College Credit (dual enrollment)
High school students are eligible for 1 credit hour of dual enrollment credit at no additional cost. (Credits are transferable to the college of your choice.) Be sure to check the dual enrollment box on the Academy application and we will send you additional information.
Dual enrollment grant
If you apply by May 1, Tennessee residents (juniors and seniors) may qualify for a $100 dual enrollment grant through the Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarship Program to help offset the cost of the arts academy. The grant application deadline is May 1. If you receive this grant, your total due to the Arts Academy will be $100 less than the amount indicated below under "Cost."
Cost
Residential Students: $500 includes five nights of lodging, all meals, workshops and programmatic elements, and fun outings to local sights.
Day Students: $400 includes lunch each day (Mon-Fri), workshops and programmatic elements, and fun outings to local sights. Day students are required to be on-campus from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with some additional evening hours required by some programs. Inquire for more details.

Leadership
Dawn Gentry serves as Director of Milligan's Arts Academy. Dawn holds an M.A. in Practical Ministries from Cincinnati Christian University and is currently working on a graduate degree at Emmanuel Christian Seminary. She has 11 years of experience as Children’s Ministry Director at Post Road Christian Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, and was responsible for over 200 volunteers in children’s, first impressions, and involvement ministries.
