The Initiative for Scholarship

As part of its mission, Milligan seeks to provide students with opportunities for scholarly pursuit. Building on a track record of solid academic achievement, this initiative seeks to meet the scholarship needs of current students, while at the same time building endowments to help address the financial needs of future students.

Funding Priorities: $16.5 million

P.H. Welshimer Library

• Interior design improvements
• New furnishings
• Addition of group study, coffee bar, fellowship areas
• Facility improvements that result in increased energy efficiency and a healthier, environmentally
  sustainable building

Annual Scholarship Fund

• Scholarships and other institutional aid for deserving students

Endowment

• Increased endowment, from which earnings are used to offset operational costs and provide scholarships

New and Enhanced Programs

• New degree programs and improvements to existing ones
