Recognition Opportunities

Robert Milligan Society
The Robert Milligan Society honors those who have included the college in their estate plans. Milligan founder Dr. Josephus Hopwood named the college in 1881 for his lifelong friend, Robert Milligan, one of the outstanding educators of his day. Everything that Milligan was -- scholar, teacher, and Christian gentleman -- Hopwood hoped for his students. Click here to learn more about the Robert Milligan Society.

1866 Society
The 1866 Society recognizes and expresses appreciation for everyone who participates in supporting the college annually. The grassroots support of thousands of 1866 Society members — giving at all levels — ensures that the annual needs of the college and our students are met. Regardless of your giving level, it is your participation that counts. It sends a clear message to prospective students, potential funding sources and peer colleges that Milligan alumni and friends believe in the college and want to see it succeed.

  For annual giving of:
Scholar’s Level $1 - $249
Dean’s Level $250 - $499 ($21/month)
Chancellor’s Level $500 or more ($42/month)
President’s Associate $1,000 or more ($84/month)

The President's Associates
At the heart of the 1866 Society is the commitment of our President’s Associates. More than 300 people have joined the ranks of this leadership group during the campaign. These individuals recognize the high level of partnership needed to advance the college’s mission and vision. Membership provides increased opportunities for communication and accountability. Through giving and counsel, the President’s Associates are essential in funding the Milligan of today and framing the Milligan of tomorrow.

  For annual giving of:
Hopwood Society $10,000 or above
Derthick Society $5,000 or above
Walker Society $2,500 or above ($210/month)
Leggett Society $1,000 or above ($84/month)

The President's Leadership Trust

  For lifetime giving of:
