Connections 2008
New Student Orientation - for students and parents

Making a smooth transition to college involves more than simply memorizing a campus map. It requires making many connections prior to your actual arrival.

All admitted student should plan to attend Connections: New Student Orientation either in April or June. In a span of about 24 hours on the Milligan campus, you'll connect to your new collegiate home in many ways:

  • Begin to build friendships with other new Milligan students...maybe even find your roommate!
  • Meet faculty and staff — those that will serve as academic and spiritual mentors for the next few years
  • Select courses for the fall 2008 semester. That’s right, you will leave Connections with a course schedule in hand — no need to worry over the summer about which courses you will take
  • Address your parents’ questions and needs with special sessions just for them
  • Discover how you can be involved with student activities
  • Receive answers to your remaining financial aid questions
  • Have your student ID made so you can start using it from Day 1
  • Become familiar with Milligan’s campus — the place where you will spend your time learning and living
  • Above all, you will become increasingly convinced that Milligan is the college for you!

"Connections Weekend helped answer a lot of the questions I had about starting college. It was great to meet professors, counselors, and students before the semester even began."
