Applying
Milligan seeks to enroll an
academically talented and spiritually committed student body that
enriches the learning community and is representative of the diverse
society in which we live. Overall excellence of performance in high
school subjects, as well as evidence of Christian commitment and
academic potential, provide the basis for admission to Milligan College.
Milligan’s selective admissions process ensures an academically
capable entering class. Applicants who are offered admission typically
present grade point averages and ACT or SAT-I scores that are above
national averages for college-bound students.
We will evaluate your academic record, two personal references, ACT
or SAT-I scores, and participation in extracurricular activities. While
no specific course pattern is required for admission, the applicant is
strongly encouraged to include in the high school program the following
subjects:
- college preparatory English
- college preparatory mathematics
- college preparatory science
- college preparatory history and/or social science
- two years of a single foreign language
- some work in speech, music, or art in preparation for study in a
liberal arts curriculum
- satisfactory scores on the American College Test (ACT) or
Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT-I)

Financial Aid Application Process
Milligan's Admissions Committee considers applications year-round,
so we don't have an "application deadline." However, some financial aid
is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so you don't want to
wait until late spring or summer to apply to enter the next fall. Your
admission application materials also serve as your application for
academic scholarships. No additional form is needed. If you
qualify for an academic scholarship, you will be notified
shortly after being accepted to Milligan.
Financial aid deadlines are as follows:
February 15: the Priority Deadline for filing the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
March 1: Priority Deadline for having your financial
aid file complete.
