Milligan College seeks candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Physics, with a math emphasis, to begin fall 2009. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellence in undergraduate teaching and an interest in teaching both physics and mathematics courses. Teaching load would normally be 12 to 15 hours per semester (fall and spring). Successful candidates should have a Ph.D. or D.A. in physics with extensive math background (ABD considered if degree completion to be soon).

Physical Education Professor
Milligan College seeks two tenure-track assistant professors in Physical Education to begin August 2009. The successful candidates must demonstrate excellence in undergraduate teaching, and have expertise in the area of physical education. Teaching load might include Health and/or Physical Education Methods, Measurement and Evaluation, Recreation Leadership, Wellness, Motor Behavior, Teaching Team Sports, Sports Management, and various activity classes. Supervision of student teachers and/or interns in the public schools is also expected. The ideal candidate should have a doctorate in Physical Education or a related field, and experience teaching K-12 Physical Education; candidates with master's degree will be considered.

Education Professor
Milligan College in Northeast Tennessee invites applications for a full-time tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor in Early Childhood and/or Elementary Education. Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in early childhood and/or elementary methods and supervising student teachers. A strong academic and teaching background in Early Childhood and/or Elementary Education and demonstrated ability to integrate the use of technology in teaching is required. All education faculty members teach one term in our summer M.Ed. program. Experience in supervision is desirable.
The ideal candidate will have an earned doctorate in education with an emphasis in Early Childhood or Elementary Education. A background in Special Education and/or Reading is desirable. ABD nearing completion will be considered.
