  • Adjunct Professors of Business Administration

  • Milligan College invites applications for graduate level adjunct instructors in each of the following two disciplines within Business Administration: Operations Management and Healthcare Finance.  A desire and ability to integrate faith and learning in a liberal arts environment is essential.

    Graduate courses are 5 weeks long and delivered in a hybrid model requiring most work be done online.  There is one Saturday face-to-face residency.  The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong Christian faith and have expertise in either operations management or healthcare finance as a component of a business administration program. The candidate should have a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or DBA) or be ABD nearing completion.

    Milligan College, a Christian liberal arts college situated in the foothills of eastern Tennessee invites applications from forward-thinking, innovative, and user-centered persons to fill the position of User Services Librarian. Position is responsible for library promotion and user research, circulation and patron services, interlibrary loans, supervision of student workers, and periodic participation in offering research assistance to users.

    Successful candidate will possess relevant and up-to-date experience in the management of ILS functions (preferably OCLC WorldShare) for circulation, patrons, and ILL; library marketing and promotion; design and administration of user satisfaction/experience surveys; and training and supervision of student workers.  

    Position assumes excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, adaptability, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Successful candidate is a person of Christian faith and committed to Milligan College's educational mission. MLS/MLIS or equivalent from an ALA-accredited institution is required.

  • Faculty Administrative Assistant

  • Milligan College seeks experienced, part-time administrative assistant to provide clerical support to faculty. Responsible for assisting faculty in two buildings with general clerical duties, supervision of work study students, and assisting faculty leaders in overseeing office operations.

    Position works approximately 25 hours per week during academic year. Requires advanced skill in MS Word and Excel, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multitask. HS diploma or GED plus 1-3 years clerical experience required; some college training and/or Bachelor's degree preferred.
