William B. Greer (Bill) was named the 15th president of Milligan College on March 18, 2011. He assumed office on July 15, 2011, following the retirement of Dr. Donald R. Jeanes.
Bill most recently served as vice president for institutional advancement at Milligan. He also teaches occasionally as the J. Henry Kegley Professor of Economics and Business. Previously, Greer served for 12 years as a member of the college's faculty and was the chair of the business area for many years.
He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville, an MBA from East Tennessee State University, and a bachelor's degree in accounting and business administration from Milligan.
