Campus Life (SSI)

Campus Life assesses the effectiveness of student life programs
offered by Milligan, covering issues ranging from athletics to residence
life. This scaled also assesses campus policies and procedures to determine
students' perceptions of their rights and responsibilities. Specific items
include:
- living conditions in the residence halls are comfortable (adequate
space, lighting, heat, air, etc.)
- student activities fees are put to good use
- student disciplinary procedures are fair
- residence hall regulations are reasonable
- freedom of expression is protected on campus
- there is an adequate selection of food available in the cafeteria
- residence hall staff are concerned about me as an individual
- I can easily get involved in campus organizations
- the student center is a comfortable place for students to spend their
leisure time
- new student orientation services help students adjust to college
- the student handbook provides helpful information about campus life
- there are a sufficient number of weekend activities for students
- males and females have equal opportunities to participate in
intercollegiate athletics
- the intercollegiate athletic programs contribute to a strong sense of
school spirit
- a variety of intramural activities are offered
