The Family Mountain Retreat at Milligan College
July 23-27, 2007
Bring the Whole Family! One fee includes meals, dorm rooms, and ministry to all ages. This is a great way to have a family vacation that fits every budget. No cooking or cleaning for moms and there are programs available for children from pre school to adults.
Adults: We have a nationally known speaker for the main adult sessions - Paul Carrier, of Fayetteville, Georgia, former Bible College president and minister of several growing churches. He has a terrific sense of humor along with a love for God's Word. Our music session will be led by worship leader, Tim Wanless of Traverse, Florida and his praise team. There are six break-out sessions covering a variety of topics. Four out of the six sessions will be led by Milligan alumni and associates.
Break-out Sessions:
- Christian liberties and American Law - by attorney and college prof, Morry Osborn
- What to do with Special Ed kids in the Church - by minister and missionary, Mike Osborn (who has personal experience with this issue)
- Ministry in the Church through Christian Education - by Eddie Fine, minister (Had one of Florida's largest Sunday Schools in the 90's)
- Biblical Exegesis-Learning to Love the Bible - by Dr. Mark Matson of Milligan College
- Christian & Science in Balance- by Dr. Homer Rice (back by popular demand)
- Biblical Characters in First Person- by nationally known Gerrie Smith (in costume)
Each age division has their own programs all morning and during the chapel sessions in the evenings. These programs are led by innovative Christian leaders.
Afternoons are free for visiting friends or touring the mountains and other historical sites. All attractions are within an hour of the college. The use of Milligan's tennis courts, inside pool and volleyball courts are also included for use during the free time.
