Robinson signs with Lady Buffs Softball

ELIZABETHTON, TN (January 12, 2006) ---
Elizabethton High School all-conference pitcher Jessica Robinson
signed on Thursday to continue her softball career with the Lady
Buffaloes of Milligan College.
Robinson, a 5-foot-8 right handed pitcher and
utility player signed with the Lady Buffs and Milligan head coach Wes
Holly at a ceremony with her family, coaches and teammates in
attendance at Elizabethton High School.
In 2004, she was 8-5 on the mound with a 2.20
earned run average while she hit .317 at the plate. During Robinson’s
junior season of 2005, her earned run average was 2.37 with a 9-11
record as a pitcher and she hit .273 for the Lady Cyclones of
Elizabethton. Robinson was selected to the All-Watauga Conference teams
and All-Watauga Conference Tournament teams in her sophomore and junior
seasons while playing for the Lady Cyclones' head coach Kenny Hardin
“Jessica will add some depth to our pitching staff
and should see some playing time either in the infield or outfield next
year,” said Holly. “I am very happy to offer Jessica the opportunity to
become a member of our softball program at Milligan College. It has been
a dream and goal for her since she entered Elizabethton High and played
for the Cyclones, to advance her skills and play at the college level
for Milligan Lady Buffs.”
Jessica is the daughter of Angie and the
late Charlie Robinson of Elizabethton, Tenn.
