Milligan’s “Be a Buff” visit day set for Feb. 27

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Feb. 20, 2015) — Whether you’re a “history buff,” a “sports buff,” a “science buff” or an “arts buff,” prospective students will experience what it’s like to be a Milligan College Buff at a visit day event on Friday, Feb. 27.

Named “Be a Buff” Day in honor of Milligan’s mascot, Brutus the Buffalo, this visit day will provide high school juniors, seniors and college transfers, as well as their families, with a snapshot of campus life packed into one day.

The event includes opportunities for students to meet one-on-one with current students and faculty, tour campus and learn more about Milligan’s more than 100 programs, pre-professional degrees and concentrations in a variety of fields.

“‘Be a Buff’ Day is the perfect way for potential students to learn more about Milligan College,” said Jason Makowsky, director of admissions. “They can talk with students, faculty and staff to understand just how much care and individual attention the Milligan community provides.”

“Be a Buff” Day check-in begins at 8 a.m. in the Gregory Center with a continental breakfast. After a welcome session at 8:30 a.m., students will learn about campus life, while parents can get more info on financial aid.

Following lunch in the McCormick Dining Center, students and their families will take part in a campus tour led by Student Ambassadors. To wrap up the day, the Academic Fair will allow students to meet with faculty from their academic area of interest, as well as learn more about graduate and professional programs.

Prospective students interested in studying nursing can attend “Nursing Buff” Day at the college on Friday, March 27.
