The Live Love Movement Tour comes to Milligan

LiveLoveMILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Sept.22 2014) — Milligan College is one of the stops for the first-ever Live Love Movement Tour, a combination of high-energy Christian worship and opportunities for students to connect with justice and compassion ministries. Events will take place throughout the day on Tuesday, Sept. 30, in the Mary B. Martin Auditorium in Seeger Chapel.

Convocation will kick-off at 11 a.m. with worship by the band Rush of Fools and guest speaker Kevin Austin, director of the Set Free Movement, an organization that seeks to prevent modern day slavery.

At 3 p.m., students will put the Christian mission into practice by packing box meals for the people of Haiti. Starting at 7 p.m., Christian bands The Afters, Rush of Fools and Remedy Drive will bring a powerful worship experience, along with messages given by Austin and Adam Norsworthy, a youth ministry veteran.

The tour stop will end with an afterconcert “takeover” at 10 p.m. in McMahan Student Center’s SUB7, featuring an acoustic musical set, fair trade coffee and a more in-depth look at ways students can engage in justice and compassion ministries.

“This event will not only be a time to experience great worship, but it also will be a personal and direct challenge for students to get involved serving those who are the most needy,” said Campus Minister Brad Wallace.

The public is invited to attend the 7 p.m. concert. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12.50 at the door. They can be purchased online at www.livelove.org/tickets or in the Milligan College Bookstore.
